Hazardous Waste Rules

  • EWC* code = hazardous (asterisk = hazardous)
  • Consignment note per movement >200 kg
  • Annual return if >2 tonnes/year
  • Max storage 12 months (6 months recommended)
  • Contractor must hold waste carrier licence
  • Basel Convention: no illegal transboundary movement
